Typical Farm2uOnline.com enterprise model:

1. Friday AM: HUB manager logs in to their database and updates farmer's inventory (their products available for purchase).

2. Friday-Monday: Members (individuals in your community who desire local, natural and organic foods) browse available products, select and place their orders.

3. Monday PM: We generate and send detailed sales reports to you and your farmers after the ordering window closes.

4. Thursday AM: Farmers deliver products sold over the previous weekend to your pick-up location (important to have a high profile pick up location)

5. Thursday PM: Members pick up their orders at their pick up location. We then reconcile any delivery shortages and issue House Credits to effected Members, and generate payments to farmers for the products they sold and delivered.

Your individual HUB schedule may vary slightly but we have found this to be a wonderful HUB schedule. It accommodates farmers and growers as Thursday is the typical food service delivery day. It accommodates members who receive their fresh local foods in time for weekend cooking and entertaining and allows for other weekend family activities. And the cycle repeats week after week insuring that a steady supply of local food products cycle through the local economy throughout the year.

Farm2uOnline.com is a network of local food hubs connecting communities to local farms and food producers. A typical hub connects just a few hundred families with 25 or so local farmers providing a wide variety of fresh, naturally grown and raised in-season products. We only source foods from locally owned family farms and independent small enterprises whose prices reflect the real cost of production and distribution, excluding costly overhead, marketing and transportation costs built in to typical retail pricing.

In some respect this is similar to a CSA (Community Sponsored Agriculture), however, membership is more affordable, product variety is greater, and there are no minimum or required orders. Members enjoy easy access to nutritious, locally grown and raised food products throughout the year based on seasonal availability.
